Bedford Pathology Refurb

Easyline Communications Ltd recently installed an audio conversation system at the Pathology Department at Bedford NHS Hospital, Bedfordshire for Inviron Services Ltd.

 The system enables the pathologist to communicate to the viewing gallery & office via ‘hands free’ audio microphones hang above each table plus two plate mounted microphones next to each sink within the Post mortem room.

 People in the viewing gallery or office can communicate with the pathologist via the Talk-back microphones, by pressing & holding down the PTT (Push To Talk) button on the mics located within the viewing gallery or office the pathologist will be able to hear what is being asked via the ceiling speakers.

 In addition to the microphones Easyline Communications Ltd installed two control ampfilers (one for the Post mortem area & the other for both the gallery & office areas); plus a mixing amp. This enables greater control of the audio for all areas, giving the ability to control the volume, balance & sound of each individual microphone & the volume level of audio coming out of the speakers.

 The system is also capable of connecting to an outside recording device either a tape deck or hard disk recorder to enable the pathologist to record details of each procedure.

 Flexibility has been designed into the system to allow the pathologist to have greater control of the audio, a set of audio isolating switches has been installed, and this allows the pathologist to isolate either the Post mortem microphones or the viewing gallery/office microphone or the complete system so no audio can be heard over the ceiling speakers.
